Davide Ponzini

Davide Ponzini, PhD Associate Professor of Urban Planning Department of Architecture and Urban Studies. Davide Ponzini received his PhD in Urban Planning from Politecnico di Milano, where he is currently Associate Professor. His research activity focuses on planning theory, urban and cultural policy, spectacularization of contemporary architecture and the urban environment. He has been visiting scholar at Yale University, Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University and Sciences Po Paris. His research work has been published in scientific journals, books and presented internationally. Coauthor (with Pier Carlo Palermo) of the books Spatial Planning and Urban Development: Critical Perspectives, Springer, 2010 and Place-making and Urban Development: New Challenges for Planning and Design, Routledge, 2015. Coauthor (with the photographer Michele Nastasi) of the book: Starchitecture. Scenes, Actors and Spectacles in Contemporary Cities, Allemandi 2011.
