Hristina Mikic
Hristina Mikic works as a director of the Institute for creative entrepreneurship and innovation (ICEI) and a lecturer at the UNESCO department for cultural policy and management, University of Arts in Belgrade. Before, she worked as a lecturer for higher business school in Novi Sad, financial adviser the Arts Council of Switzerland PRO Helvetia at the Swiss embassy in Belgrade and as an analyst of media economics for the media department of the Serbian ministry of culture. She holds a Ph.D. in cultural economics of the Faculty of Economics, University of Belgrade. She published 7 books, several articles and papers in journals mostly focused on creative economy and economics of cultural policy. She has been advisor or consultant to numerous national and international body in area of economic development policy of culture heritage and creative industries such us Council of Europe, UNESCO Institute for statistics, World Bank, UNDP, UN, World Bank, Serbian chamber of commerce, Ministry of culture and information, Serbian – Poland Chamber of Commerce, Association of Belgrade Economists and many others. She was involved in different international projects such as “Entrepreneurship Serbia” – UNDP; “UK SEE forum” - British Council; "Measuring economic contribution of cultural industries" UNESCO Institute for statistics, Montreal; “Ljubljana process: rehabilitation of our common cultural heritage“ (Council of Europe/TFCS); Compendium of cultural policies and trends (Institute for EricARTs Bonne & Council of Europe); Global heritage statistics survey (UNESCO Institute for statistics, Montreal); Mapping Roma Creative Industries; UNESCO cultural and development indicators - Serbia (Ministry of culture Serbia) etc. She has received several awards for exceptional contribution to the affirmation of creative economy.
